Joshua, I love the retro "hippie" strap on the M8. Great marriage of the old and new! I still have one on my first real camera, a 1973 Argus/Cosina STL1000.

I'd also like to think that it maybe helps disguise the camera as some cheap old point and shoot or something when I'm out shooting in the city. |
Isn't it time to compile a book perhaps entitled "the beauty of Leica - in the eyes of its owners" from this treasure trove of documentary and artistic pictures?

The one that everyone loves to hate :)

Great thanks,,,
I just went ahead and hacked an old leather strap... Seems to work. I will see if I like the whole wrist strap thing and if I do I will buy one from them. |

Edho,
You have good taste! What brand is that camera strap? Quote:

Thanks. It is a black leather wrist strap got from the bay. Not sure about the brand as it is not written. But it is wide and soft that make it so comfortable to use. I remember it only cost around US$10 when I bought it in 2006. |
Midland & Wetzlar again ...

Glad to hear it Andy! Take it easy though.
That black chrome MP with straight rewind looks great, as does that make-up. |

"The unique M5 photocell design provides a highly accurate, tight 8mm diameter selective metering pattern. It is as close to real spot metering as it comes. The metering pattern of the M5 is considered a benefit to those who prefer the control actual spot metering provides over weighted averaging techniques." OK. Here's my faithful companion for the last 10+ years...I also used a pair of M3s for many years, but have now simplified to just one M6 TTL body with a 35mm Summicron ASPH lens.
