If I'm lucky maybe I can get my hands on an M3 (or M2) while I'm here in the States.

$700 for an M3 body  In Japan they go for twice that much!!

Now to find a place that sells used cameras in Boston ...

Something a litte different

I stayed up to late playing with my MD2 one night and this happened. I hope it will work out, I haven't tried it yet.

edit: oh yea, I should explain the lens is a CV 25. I'm planning on using it with a polorizing filter most of the time but I thought a yellow filter would look cool for the photo.

That things got a whole bunch of gizmos on it...

=D

Fallout from Mid-Summer GAS

Last December I resolved not to buy any cameras or lenses in 2007. I lasted until July. If it matters, two of the bodies were given to me. The Leica bodies were purchased in 2006.

I realize there are more than Leica M bodies in the picture. The M5s are in front. ;) I didn't know where else to put this picture.

This picture was taken with a Leica lens on a Panasonic Lumix camera. Not too shabby for an inexpensive camera.

A new one of the M4, on the light box.

Bought a "new" M4 yesterday. Just couldn't resist the looks...
(I will take a sexier pic of it when I have calmed down a bit)

ChrisN 08-23-2007 23:23

Jacob, congratulations! A black M4, too! Great catch!

So you're the lucky one, eh? I saw that one too, but I was too slow. 3000 Swedish crowns, right? $430...

But I'm glad it went to a RFF'er, though. :)

Enjoy it!

sirius 08-24-2007 04:47

Ah, here's that thread. I was looking for this one. Here are my Leicas. I'm pretty happy with these.

Thanks!
For once I was first. A very good price, but I intend to use it, not make a deal out of it. My new problem is: Where do I find a black paint Summilux for the same price?

I gotta say, Reiner, that panda and Rollei lens really go together well. The mix of silver/chrome and black in each is very complementary.

I like the look too! I always had a faible for chrome bodies and lenses, but a mix can't be topped sometimes!

Woke up this morning and saw the light, couldn't resist to take a shot.

Nice tripod. What is it?

It's nice, it's cheap, it's portable, and it works. Folds up into my bag and comes with me everywhere.
