My new Family as of today. The MP-3 kit is incredible, there will never be another one like it. Which brings me to Mr. Benoit's tirades on using the camera instead of fondling it. I used to "Bah-hum-bug" those whole called their camera's works of art...then I realized, like it or not, they are.

The M6 will most likely look like yours in a few years, it is the workhorse as well.
The M3 was my family's 40th birthday present to me, so I am going to take real good care of it.

The MP-3 is rare to begin with, but will be a user that I pay respect to. This is one of the finest Leica's in history, there is nothing wrong with treating it with respect, hence the custom cut corner tape and remaining protective bottom.

Make no mistake though, I am going to make plenty of photos with it...she's not even broke in...

Bigfoot in action. The proper way to see a Leica. From either side. :)

The left eye focusing looks so odd! Can't wait til my lens hood gets worn like that...

Xmas 07-01-2007 06:59

all you need is a file

The bikers who have knee pads, but are yellow, use a flat file on their knee pads and the sidewalls of their tyres.

So if your hood is too new, dont wait go for instant gratification.

Left eye looks odd? Looks just fine from my side.

I was mildly upset when the hood arrived looking like it had spent a couple tours in Iraq. On the other hand, it does complete the black & chrome fashion scheme.

Cheers,

Roland.

Between Canon, Nikkor, Voigtlander & Konica I can put together several combinations of bodies & lenses with or without the "L."

vrgard 07-03-2007 12:06

Very nice kits, Roland! So where does your Canon 50/1.5 lens fit into all this?

The Konica I is petite! When I get the QL17 back from overhaul, it will be even smaller than the Konica I. The Canon VI-Ts are smaller than some rangefinder bodies. Hey, Bigfoot & Bubba resemble your remarks! ;)

I'm doing great. Taking pictures everyday with something different. It doesn't get any better than that. :D

Sofa King 07-08-2007 13:16

the new m6. got it for 680 USD off of ebay and it came in the mail yesterday. seems to be in full working order. can't wait to get a lens and start shooting!

kenspix 07-08-2007 13:24

Good luck with that m6... boy have prices gone down....

Sofa King 07-08-2007 13:35

nah, i think i just got really lucky. was originally looking for an m2 or maybe an m4-p, but couldn't pass this deal up.

sepiareverb 07-08-2007 15:34

Nice M6 SofaKing- Looks much like mine- but you got a little bit better deal- well done. I was just in your town last week- could shoot there for a year.
