Less talk, more porn. :)
Finally I can find some pictures of the MP winder cranks. Can't find hardly a picture of them on the camera. Even photoequip.com doesn't have a picture of one on camera.
Lame.

Thanks.
Whats your stand?
Fork the $179 for a Leica winder
or
Go for the $99 photoequip model?

Art, I would be interested in seeing some of your new/old Elmar shots. Not appropriate for this thread, but would be great if you could post some in a new thread.

Thanks,
Randy

I'll take a guess it's the 50/2.8 elmar hood.

jk251, I would be interested to see another picture of this camera from a side view so that I could see how much that hood adds to the overall length/depth of your kit. Oh, and please do tell us which hood that is, as someone else asked above.

Thanks,
Randy

Yes, That's a 12550 E39. I use this one to substitute for the original rubber hood.
You can't screw it tightly on this lense, but they really match.
I find no darkness on the edge of photo.

These are other photos of the BP

Rodney- that pic in #990 is beautiful!

jk- I'll try that hood next time I shoot the 40. A very nice solution- that hood seems that it would work great for the 40.

Congrats!

I think 40mm is good except the flare. I had Summicron 35 3rd version before.
I can tell the difference only when the aperture is wide open.
What do you think?

Rico 06-06-2007 20:49

roundg,

I've been hunting the elusive 2nd version 'cron 35 for two years! How do you find the aperture tab?

Rico,

I got the lens 3 weeks ago in local (Singapore). The previous owner enthusiastically long for a 35 Version 4. He knew selling a Version 2 cheap and get am expensive Version 4 is a guilty, but can't resist the GAS.

Anyway now I am so happy to be the new owner of the lens.
