My .85 M7 has come back home this month. Loving it!

Nothing plain about this rig. She is beautiful but what's with the white stuff on the strap?

Oh, they're just strips of an old t-shirt. The strap came with the camera. It works fine, but the strap-loop-things were metal, so I wrapped them to prevent them from marring the chrome – just a little paranoia. :o

Got it, I had a strap like that once but I used black masking tape to contain it.

My M4-2 after swapping the lens lock button. It took me some time to get the camera back to work ...

coelacanth 06-10-2012 22:40

Jamie got me busted so I'm coming out of closet.

Anyways, I broke down and got it.

(I hope we can leave the black tape talk out. :p I'm just not much into red dots)

Now no 1.33 multiplying. It's 1.0x for all my Ms, and OM-D and Mamiya 7 cover the special occasions. I'm planning to do my next gig with M and OM only, no rented Canon gear...

Is this an M7? Nice shot.

JHP 06-11-2012 17:54

Looks like an M9 to me judging by that small hole above the taped leica logo.

Can someone tell me what that actually does?

newghost 06-11-2012 21:56

my M4-p... Black Paint credits to John (nobbylon)!

newghost 06-11-2012 21:59

kdemas 06-12-2012 06:52

Nice Sug! I figured you were up to something when I saw the M8.2 go.

Enjoy!

I am SO getting that mahogany goatskin!!

nasdak 06-13-2012 12:46

Here's my MP again ; i'm considering changing the covering for real leather - but i wonder if it's good for the camera (no waterproof and bad grip i think?)

playing with LR presets :)

The ON/OFF switch says it's a digital. Either M8.2 or M9. :)
Beautiful design anyway...

What I love is that it's the opposite of this page's first picture, a silver M9 with a 50 2.8 silver.

Both look awesome.

elude 06-13-2012 13:13

Pas mal du tout !

The MP is my favourite, I regret selling it. Don't worry about changing the skin. I was like your but I ended up liking the original grip so...
Leica does it, lots of serious shops do it (Photosuffren, Procirep) so I don't think it changes anything. I have witnessed it and they simply apply the new fabric. Your MP is not waterproof anyway :D

Yes I see but the M7 also has an on/off switch, no? (it has been awhile since I played with one)

elude 06-13-2012 14:47

Indeed, but the inscriptions related to the switch (the white inscriptions) differ from the M7 (which has none I think) ;)
