Nice M2 Fraser!

I kept pushing the rewind button when in 'thoughtless mode' (which happens a lot with me). The rewind levers on my M3 and M2 signal me to leave it alone so I guess I'm not a rewind button kinda-man...;)

Ugly beast with the beauty on: M5 & Millenium Nikkor-S 50mm f1.4 & Amedeo adapter

By the way I love the M5 handling, I really cant understand why the camera is so neglected.

Amedeo's custom modification: Nikon 55mm f1.2 for Leica M :) It's pretty sweet, I only need to buy a new IR filter, this thing is heavy though, the heaviest in my arsenal right now. Sorry for crappy iPhone pics :)

This alternative to 'brassing' looks awesome.

It does block the 50mm frame on the M8 a bit, I'll see if I get a pic up tomorrow.

johannielscom 07-15-2011 06:47

Hans, that lens looks rather concorted to me, but since that makes it an almost certain one-of-a-kind, that's also it's charm.

Pretty sure it will deliver stellar shots on the M8, I have a feeling that the lens at wider apertures and that sensor will together produce some really interesting image quality!

On a different note, my 1951 Jupiter-9 with the CZJ optical block arrived today, seems I have to re-do that early M3 + CZJ lenses shot on the previous page already!

Cat's eyes bokeh heaven haha, I'll do some proper shots when I got better. And yes it looks seriously weird, and I always have soft spot for that kind of stuff.

Hans, congratulations on the purchase.
I too have followed the advert curiously.

(One of my rangefinder gear dreams is, to have my Noct-Nikkor RF converted to Leica M mount)

Please share images of and from the lens in the "mad scientist forum".
I am very sure, this interests many.

Really on a Hipstamatic kick lately. Should be a plugin on all digitalcameras, might even be tempted to buy one ;) Decided to thin out my collection and dedicate some time to the v2 Lux. While out in the zoo yesterday:
