Nice. Wouldn't mind hearing that story someday. Ideally I would love a plate with no logos on the front and a classic style engraving on top.

Anyway, start another thread about it! With some more photos.

Portrait gear revamped, GAS for stupid SLRs cured. (thanks Rob!)

My new M6 which I picked up from a Leica Dealer for a Bargain Price. Having that meter is lovely.

Took leave to look after sick child. Too free so I decided to shoot some photos of my gears since I am stucked at home. Photos taken on Ricoh GRD3, best digital compact!!!

Go to my flickr link, if you want to know the descriptions of each gear.

Btw, the book is by Patrick Demarchelier

maddoc 05-26-2011 22:21

beautiful gear.

I finally gave in to the urge to buy an M2 to accompany my IIIg. I've not used the Ultron I bought a for sometime as the 50 I have works so well on the IIIg and although I use a 21 and sometimes a 15 with external finders the 35 with external finder just didnt feel right for the type shots I was after. It will be handy to have another body to avoid the reloading and lost frames scenario, so I can keep two films on the go at once, two different speeds or Colour and Black and white. Ive been playing with the new Portra recently which handles and scans very well so once I've shot a test B&W roll through the M2 ....

It is certainly a very nicely handling camera.

This one was has actually come from Siracusa so thanks for that

Sorry too dense. What errors? :-)

LADP 05-28-2011 17:56

I think he means the non RF cameras and lenses, like the Nikon SLR, AIS lenses and maybe the Nikon SP. The winking smiley indicates tongue in cheek comment. Nice kit you have there.

Hahha... if u put it that way, there's actually 6 errors. Can you guess what they are?

errorlogin 05-29-2011 00:48

:)

That's fun! I count 8 errors. All VERY nice errors......

OK, I start:

#1 Nikon F3
#2 Nikon Ti (is it called Ti35?)
#3 Nikon lens left of the F3
#4 another Nikon lens left of the F3
#5 Canon lens right at the head of the left girl
#6 Fuji Camera on top left
#7 Japan lens on the Leica MP-classic
#8 Leica DIGITAL camera......:p

All very cool stuff and nice pic! :)

Thanks for sharing and we have fun...

sc_rufctr 05-29-2011 01:07

SWEET! Now wear it out taking pictures.

#1 Nikon F3 - Correct
#2 Nikon Ti (is it called Ti35?) - 35Ti
#3 Nikon lens left of the F3 - Nikon 50 f1.2 AiS
#4 another Nikon lens left of the F3 - Nikon 28 f2.8 AiS
#5 Canon lens right at the head of the left girl - It's a Canon 50 f1.2 LTM
#6 Fuji Camera on top left - Fuji X100
#7 Japan lens on the Leica MP-classic - What's wrong with a Japn lens on M? :-)
#8 Leica DIGITAL camera......:p - Hahah!

errorlogin 05-29-2011 04:55

:D

Thanks! The Fuji is a really sweet little camera. I am jealous.

Did you self-paint the Leica M3? The finish looks a little bit like my F3/T paint. Very nice. Would love to see more pics of this one!

#9 lens on the M3 is a topcon lens.
#10 Zeiss 21mm lens on the right of the right girl
#11 Canon lens mounted on the Leica IIIg
#12 I think another canon lens underneath the IIIG
#13 New CV lens right of the left girls shoulder
#14 Nikon or Zeiss (?) Lens right of the Fuji
#15 The lens on the M6 TTL is not a Leitz, I guess. But not sure...

HAHA, you are crazy, but really good stuff! All these errors, made me thinking for one little moment, that the IIIg is a Zorki, but it is not! Your point! .-)
