That's an awesome lens hood. Would be nice to be able to order it separately

SimonSawSunlight 06-21-2010 23:45

yes that hood looks like the cool Bronica RF645 one!

Why did you do that indeed!

:P You will have to pick up another one at some point.

I wanted another lens with more contrast for BW really and I'm waiting for a Nokton 1.5 to arrive.

I just wish I'd saved up first instead of selling the Elmar though like you say I'll have to get another at some point ... if I can smuggle it in past the wife that is. :D

david.elliott 06-22-2010 04:25

Best of luck. ;)

A new friend to add to my carry kit. This still fits in a medium-sized National Geo bag. Not to mention, a dozen rolls of film/batteries and a couple of polarizers.

After two months of intense ebaying and a lot struggle with the postman (package was missing), my first Leica finally arrived yesterday. Sold my Voigtländer R3a for it...cause at the end you end up with a Leica anyways ;)

1995 M6 with collapsible Summicron 5cm and Voigtländer 1.7/35mm

My humble M6 classic with summicron 40/2.0. Got the m6 quite cheap and it is my favourite camera (I have about 10 cameras). Might pick up an m8 tomorrow, replacing my r-d1.

Thats a sweet combo!
I almost bought this older 35 3.5, but decided for the later 1959 sample with outer aperture ring, as the glass was in much better shape.

How do you like yours? I see, you shoot it only at f5.6 - I love mine at constant f3.5 ;-)

LChanyungco 07-05-2010 07:31

hi Menos, i'm only on my 3rd roll with this lens so i'm not too set in my ways with it yet. but i did take a few shots with it at f3.5 just to see what its like and since i'm so used to using a Summicron i find the edges to be a bit too "soft." so right now i'm trying f5.6 :). i really like the low weight of this lens though and not that it matters but it is such a good looking lens :D
