Nikon 9000 scanner in the wind....
I communicated with a fellow today who is planning to put his Nikon 9000 scanner on eBay shortly. I told him he should give a run through here before he goes on eBay.
However, have you seen the prices the Nikon 9000 scanners are bringing. The last few show completed final prices of $4500 to over $5000. So, it looks like it will hit eBay in a few days. Just a heads up. |
Makes me regret not buying one at $2000 from B&H when they were in stock a couple years back. Its rare that a piece of electronic hardware DOUBLES retail value after years of discontinuation.

I have this scanner and I like it. I bought it back when I could afford it. I have no intention of selling it in the foreseeable future.
The Epson 700 or 750 scanners are comparable to the 9000 for 120 size negatives (I've personally made the comparison) and reasonable for 35mm. Can you not consider the Epson 700/750 scanner and a good 35mm scanner? This seems to me to be a pretty versatile set up. |
Here is a comparison between the V750 and the Nikon 9000:
