How Many Cameras Do You Have Film In Right Now?
Here's my "roll" call:

Agfa Super Silette - Kodak Ektar 100

Fujica Drive 1/2 Frame - Kodak Tri-X 400

Kodak Retina IIa - Kodak Gold 100 or BW400CN (don't remember)

Olympus 35 RC - Kodak Tri-X 400

Polaroid Land Automatic 250 - Fuji FC100C

Ricoh Caddy 1/2 Frame - Kodak BW400CN

Yashica Electro 35 GTN - Kodak Tri-X 400

Voigtlander Bessa R3a - Kodak BW400CN

Pikapig 09-28-2011 21:55

Thats alot dave..next question, when are u planning to finish the roll in your cameras now?

I only have a Nikon s2 loaded with colorplus 200 and a m2 loaded with trix 800

bob338 09-28-2011 21:56

Plaubel W67--Tri-X

Plaubel 670--Ilford FP4+

Leica M3--Tri-X

Mamiya 7II--Tri-X

Belplasca Stereo--Velvia 50

Kodak Signet--XX

saxshooter 09-28-2011 21:57

Rolleiflex 2.8 E2 w/expired Fuji NPH
Seagull TLR w/expired TMY
Horizon S3 Pro w/Ilford HP5

dct 09-28-2011 22:03

I can definitly not compete with many posters before...
spending too much time at work and not on my hobbies!

2x Vectis S-1 (Kodak Advantix 400 b&w and Agfa APSpro 200)
1x Hexar RF (Kodak Ektar 100)
1x ibis 6/6 (Ilford Delta 100)
1x Vectis 300 (Agfa APSpro 200)

Dave S. 09-28-2011 22:07

Pikapig: Ha! That is a good question. What really bogs me down is those darn half-frame cameras I like to shoot - 72+ shots a roll, Ugh! I find for me it ebbs and flows. I'll suddenly notice I've got film in many cameras (like now) and then concentrate on shooting them out until I'm back down to 2 or 3.

BTMarcais 09-28-2011 22:08

My first reaction was "well, just one, of course"... and then I realized just how wrong that was...

I actually have loaded:

M6TTL: neopan 400
Zeiss Super Ikonta 531 A: SFX 200
Holga: Pro160C

Horseman VH 6x9 back: Ektar 100

And film holders too!

4x5: Ilford Ortho; Ilford positive paper
5x7: Hp5; Ilford RC paper; Efke positive paper.

Obviously I need to go out and shoot some tomorrow.

B.J.Scharp 09-28-2011 22:13

I've got Provia 400X loaded in one M3, Neopan 400 in my other M3, and another roll of Neopan 400 in my EOS 30

a10101100 09-28-2011 22:15

Well, it was just 3 but the R2 arrived.. so i just had to run some rolls through it..

I have loaded:
Bessa R2 - Centura 200
Hexar af - Ektachrome 64T
GR-1 - Tri-X 400
M6 - Portra 400

randolph45 09-28-2011 22:20

haempe 09-28-2011 22:27

Where is the ZERO option?
I usually finish the roll I loaded...

Dave, no worries about shooting slow and finishing the rolls slow. Rather than rushing to finish a roll, i feel that you might get better shots in each frame and some surprises might just appear the day you developed and see the results. You might have forgotten what you have frame them earlier and this, to me, is the best part about shooting film :)

Dave S. 09-28-2011 22:41

Yikes! My mistake, I should have added an option for zero. Not being familiar with that experience it just didn't occur to me. :D

Ljós 09-28-2011 22:51

2 cameras: Leica M2 (1964) and Leica M2 (1962). Try as I might, once I take out a finished roll they claim "food", and they do not take a no for an answer :-)

Greetings, Ljós

rizraz 09-28-2011 22:58

Thank god I'm not alone....... got my M2, M6, R4A and CL loaded at the moment......

+1... I make it a habit the finish the roll I got in a film camera before changing to a different one. :D

ronnies 09-28-2011 23:38

Just the Canonet G-III 17 at the moment loaded with HP5+.

Rob-F 09-29-2011 00:19

I said three: one Leica M, and two Hasselblad film backs. I counted two backs as two separate cameras, even though they are not both attached to a body at this moment. Tomorrow they will be attached to separate bodies.

Austerby 09-29-2011 00:19

Just an unfinished roll of PanF+ in my Zeiss Ikon, which I'll aim to use this weekend whilst visiting the Isle of Wight - I was getting a little anxious that the season for slow film was finishing but the sunny summer weather has returned to the UK :)

thegman 09-29-2011 00:37

Rolleiflex with some Portra 400, and Bessa R4A with some Elite Chrome.

sara 09-29-2011 01:32

I voted 3 but I actually have it in two...

Just Ilford b/w in my Olympus OM and Hasselblad.

Rayt 09-29-2011 01:36

Portra 160 in the Minilux and Fomapan 100 in a bunch of 4x5 holders.

maddoc 09-29-2011 01:40

Some "ERA100" (I already forgot the film`s name) in my Grafmatic Holder and half a roll of Tri-X in my M4-2. :)

E.M 09-29-2011 02:01

portra 160 in M6TTL

rbiemer 09-29-2011 02:45

Bessa R2a--Ektar 100
Ricoh XR2s--BW400CN
Pentax UC-1--Ektar 100
Canon Elan IIe--BW400CN
Hmm, only the four right now. I thought it would be more.

pvdhaar 09-29-2011 03:39

An XA2, a Holga, and a Bessa-T makes three..

taskoni 09-29-2011 03:52

I voted 5.

Leica III - Delta Pro 400 (pushed to 800)

djcphoto 09-29-2011 05:57

Neopan 400 in the M3, and five double-darks loaded with Panatomic-X, which can be used on three or four cameras so not sure how to vote :)

paulfish4570 09-29-2011 06:35

hp5 in my r2m.

Carterofmars 09-29-2011 06:43

Werramatic --> Tmax 400
Fuiji 690------> Delta 100

Nikonos III ---> Superia 1600 (newly acquired camera; semi-dry run in PNW rain before immersion test in the Pacific)

Dave S. 09-29-2011 22:19

Thanks for everyone's participation! Looks like 2 or 3 cameras loaded at one time is pretty common. When I'm keeping things lean that's about right for me. Usually it's 1 camera with 100 iso color film, 1 camera with 400 iso B+W film, and 1 Polaroid camera loaded up with either Fujifilm FP3000B or FC100C.

By the way, I forgot we recently purchased a Fujifilm Instax 210 for a birthday party earlier this summer. It now sits on our kitchen counter loaded and ready for the occasional family shot (this morning it was my 3 year old wearing mom's reading glasses). I guess that makes 9 for me!

I like to shoot candid / decisive moment photographs and I think this is one reason I end up with so many loaded cameras. It works well for me to have loaded cameras with me and/or around me all the time so I'm ready to snap when an image presents itself.

Pikapig: Agreed, I really enjoy getting older rolls back from the lab and their associated surprises.

axiom: I would be inclined to count each film back, but having never shot using film backs I really couldn't say? Up to you…

Thanks again for all the votes! I was curious about this issue...

I answered 4 but I think it's between 7 and 10.

Polaroid Land 250: Fuji FP-3000B

Leica M2: Kodak Ultramax 400

Pentax Super Program: Ektachrome 100VS

Pentax MX: Kodak Ultramax 400

Yashica 635: Kodak New Porta 400 120

Kodak Medalist: Kodak Portra 160 NC 120 (on 620 spools, natch)

Kodak Folding Autographic Brownie No. 2: Fuji 160 NPS

I think, but am not sure, that I have Kodak Ultramax 400 110 loaded in my pentax Auto 110.

Also, I have Fuji Provia 100f and Iflord FP4 in my film holders for my Super Graphic and Toyo 45F large format cameras, but since the olders aren't actually in the cameras the camera isn't loaded. So take your pic on those.

(the Hassies count, don't they?)

Noll 10-16-2011 20:55

Only one RF on the list, Oh the shame!

Canon eos 620 - Expired Kodak Gold 200
Olympus Stylus Zoom 80 - Expired Fuji 800. Probably won't do that again.
Olympus Trip 35 - Kodak Gold 200 (just picked it up at a thrift store for $4)
Olympus RC-35 - Fuji 400.
Yashica T4 - Kodak Elite Chrome 100, just awesome stuff
Ricoh Diacord L - Ektachrome 100VS - equally awesome film!

I'll probably finish a roll every 2 weeks or so. Spreading out the time makes for some good memory refreshers!

Theres some philosophical ambiguity here. Having film loaded in a camera has several effects.

The first is that the camera is ready to shoot. In that sense, the camera is loaded.

Another effect of a loaded camera is being committed to a particular film till the roll is through. In that way id say no.

5 at the moment - too many!

- HP5+ in the F5, on frame 37
- HP5+ in the FM2n, on frame 34 (possibly it's last roll on my watch)
- HP5+ in the Pentax 67II, on frame 2
- Arista Premium 400 in the CL, on frame 18 (for sale in the classifieds!)
- HP5+ in the (don't laugh) Canon Sure Shot Zoom 76, on frame 9

Nothing loaded in the IIIf at the moment, it just finished a roll of, imagine this - HP5+

Too many, but 2 are in need of new homes, and one exists purely to take up space in a pocket of my motorcycle jacket should anything interesting show up on a ride.
