I know it's not a rangefinder but it's fairly modern and can use 120 film soooooo.....

My rz67 is only firing at one speed(i'm assuming 1/400th). Also when i leave it alone a high pitched noise comes from the camera. Both of the lights turn on in the viewfinder(WLF) so it's not that. So far I've change the battery, tried the camera on multi exposure and regular, checked the shutter release was in the correct place.
I'm stuck. the internet hasnt helped at all.
RFF, can you help me?

Is the camera in emergency, mechanical mode?

I know that without a battery, the camera can still fire at 1/400th of a second. There's a knob on the inside of the shutter speed dial. If you depress that, you can change the camera back into normal, electronic operation.

Hope this helps!

i got it working! i think what it was was the "mirror up socket" on the lens was out like it was being used with a cable release. what a hassle
