She looks rather 'kinky' to me :D.

Something about it just looks a little... Off. ;)

The base is plain ugly. Otherwise not a bad concept. Could be used as a fire-starter in cold weather - put it on two cameras and rub together.
Now all of those who complained that my RapidGrip had a bit of "base" that tilted the camera when you put it down - with this grip they would really have something to "bitch" about.

I wouldn't call this a copy. This is a pathetic attempt at a substitute.

Now about that M9 grip Tom....

I;ve managed to hack your Rapidgrip for my M5, but the M9 is another story.

They don't seem to have a means of attachment and removal. It looks like you are supposed to drill a hole in the baseplate and use a wood screw. Think I'll pass.

They do seem to have plenty of shapes, though. One of a kind, perhaps? Or maybe they just can't make up their mind.

Custom Chinese made grips made of Ebony and based on the GMP style occasionally appear.
I wonder who makes them. Anyone?

Ed Kashi once told me that photojournalism is a lonely profession. I am glad a company is finally meeting the needs of the traveling photographer.

Ray, you're so shameless about talking up organic products.

What would you expect from "Studio Cheese"?

Maybe it's a one finger salute to the knuckle draggers at airports that run the porn scanners

I rather think I did a better job with my DIY RD-1 grip. Though I won't be disappointed if you disagree. :)

Just a pic to show off a wood grip on my M2 that I picked up at a local camera show prior to Leica making theirs. It works for me and has lasted a very long time.

Could it have been made by an Amish craftsman?
