View Full Version : M5 for $520 ???
Could this (http://photo.net/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg?msg_id=00DB1j) be above the board?
The seller just registered today :(
I saw that too. Too cheap for sure.

Yep, but then, look again and see who's interested in laying her hands on the gear: The One and Only Sherry Krauter.
Ahem...
The price seems to be about right for Europe: about 400 Euro to 850 Euro max for an immaculate one. Check this ad out: http://www.speurders.nl/fotografie/leica/11545184/advertentie.html
That one will probably go for about 700 Euro.
What surprises me is that the seller, given his story, didn't sell his stuff in the USA, where he would have gotten a far higher price and the fact that he states his price in USD, when living in Europe and advertising on a European site.
M5 damaged in a move. It would take a lot to dent the top cover of a Leica I assume.

There wre very few M5's sold in the US during the time of its production. Also during that time, it did not do well with its traditional customer base. The CL have it competition on the small side, and Leica customers pressed for the return of the M4. Now, it is on the rare side and has gone up invalue. At a show here, the dealers are asking over $1,000.
