So you did take the bull by the horns, Joe? I did see that daring, brief note in photo.net addressed to the seller of two Canon RFs. A terse note saying "You have mail"...
And this time, Joe reached out for his checkbook! :) :D
BTW, I didn't buy the Leica bag... It looked terribly similar to my Domke small bag, so I wanted to check.
Congratulations on both landmark events, Joe!!!

Mine is a Domke F5XB (why do they call them as if they were airplane prototypes? ) in sand. Pretty much like the Billingham. It's relatively small and nice; you can carry a couple of lenses and a flash, but there's little room for anything else. You'll need deep pockets for film, though... But I'll keep it.

Just pass me the link when you find it please ! :D
Now... then we end asking why there are so few women in the forum... :o
Ah! bags... well I have a... 'bag' one. It's black and has some duct's tape patches. Has lots of pockets where you put things which you can't find later; keeps books, papers, cameras, wallet, phone, keys, meter, hood, food and has even contained liquid beer for a while! (night accidents)
Part of the 'poor student' appearance !

oscar, one of my favourite bags is an old canvas book bag i bought many years ago at the local university bookstore. i bought an insert for a good camera bag from the local camera shop and put it into the bookbag. now my cameras have good protection and my bag looks like anything but a camera bag.
sadly, it is growing old and is in need of some tlc. i need to decide if it should be retired or if it needs a day with the local seamstress getting a new strap put on.

Are you referring to a lens hood for a Canon GIII ? If so, I didn't know they made one for that rig. I have the metal screw-on one's for all of my rangefinder's, and they work very well. I'd like to hear, see, more about your's. I wonder why nobody congratulated me, when I hit the "10" postings mark?
Thanks

hey russ, yes, it's a plastic hood made for the canonet line of cameras.
it came in a canon box marked canonet hood 4.
i also had never heard of a dedicated hood but saw this one on ebay. it was one of those crazy bids, i bid 5 bucks and forgot about it and mine was the only bid.
it's plastic and clamps on with a little twisty. i used it today for a few hours and it stay on quite nicely.
if i take a pic i'll post it for ya!
tell me about the metal screw on ones as i have no other hoods for my little collection.

Don't get Russ started on hoods whatever you do! Here in the Northwest it's always overcast and you never need a hood, but Russ, OH NOOOOOOO, he's got to have 3 or 4 hoods for every lens. Someday we'll find poor Russ laying under a huge pile of lens hoods, in the shade :D
Russ, you kknow I love ya' bro.
