Has no one seen this? The art of satire is not dead. Not for those who take themselves too seriously, though.

There was a thread about this with the same link a month or so ago. It's excellent for sure. A lot of people saw it at that time. I think there is a second video that is like a part 2. I don't have a link for it. - jim

My god, how many times will this get posted? 5 times in a week so far on this forum!
Edit- 6 times that I know of:confused: Twice this morning.
it's because it was featured on the online photographer.

It's getting annoying. The thing obviously came from this forum because it mentions it by name why would the regulars here not have seen it.

I agree, at this point you'd think everyone here had seen it.
It's funny -- but now its just getting beat to death with a shovel.

This is true and perhaps my post is a bit short-sighted.

Quite funny. Didn't see it, and that that I visit the site very often.
Couldn't resist the smile when he mentions that he will keep just using the OM-1. I'll do that then, as I see that nothing that's not an MP with summilux is decent.
Funny how the seller character just drives the customer nuts. Quite amusing, specially when he spits the thing about summicrons.

First time for me. Good stuff.

Very true ... and I'm surprised how many people don't realise it's your creation!
I think it's brilliant by the way ... you're to be commended! :D
Why post it many times here? Because those are the "rules." It's just what is done here ;)
I liked it... but... now I read every single post here in that same damn monotone computerized voice that those characters use :)
Cheers,
Dave

That was better than the Diane Arbus Missing Link movie...

Now I finally know how to pronounce "rangefinder".
"Range-a-finder." Totally cracked me up. SO on-target, too. I hadn't know of it until hitting this thread.

I think it began going viral before Mike J. made you really famous ;) I saw it linked on APUG a few days ago.
best xtranormal video ever. completely appropriate and so very true. it basically sums up all of the common Rangefinder stereotypes, misinformation and biases in just a few minutes. part II is also hilarious and rings so true...
Excellent! Also hadn't seen the link before...
I find it very funny - in spite of being touted as a M2 "guru". I particularly like the fact that I am allowed to use Nikon Rf's - Swapmeet coming up on Sunday here in Vancouver and the video gives me a great excuse!!
Funny and well done.
The first time I`ve seen it. Had a good cackle over it and being a leica owner , it is oh so accurate.

FYI, there are two other videos available from the linked page, both camera-related. There is a part two for the video in question, and another that is just "I want to buy a camera", with the salesperson suffering. The links are the graphical button-looking things below the main content.
Good work!

I think we can cut down on all the discussions now by simply quoting
1) ...it is not acceptable!!
2) ...it is against conventions.
3) ...no exceptions - see rules 1 and 2.

After watching the video, I feel like an outsider shooting "unacceptable" cameras such as my 35ES or XA.

I say: that's what makes you even more hip. For what that's worth.
