Any comments on the 25mm Skopar in S/C mount? I'm considering one...

The 25mm Snapshot Skopar is a good lens, it shouldn't matter whether it is in LTM mount or S/C mount. same optics. Can't beat the price now that they are on closeout in S/C mount. Won't be around forever. If I didn't have a 21mm Zeiss Biogon for my Contax/Kiev cameras, I would get one in a heartbeat (in Contax mount). Much better deal than a rare Topogon.

I had a Topogon some 25 years ago. It's an odd 4-glass all-separate design that is worth so much money to collectors that you'd do a LOT better to get a good modern lens instead. If you have a Topogon, flog it and buy something newer and better.

Cheers,

Roger

I use one on a Leica IIIA body its a wonderfull thing you can use it to shoot from the hip as well. So no one knows you are taking pictures great for candid work.It seems to perform best at around f5.6
