Arrived a couple of weeks ago from KEH. Probably paid ~$100 more than I could have (if I was a patient person) but the camera is in such perfect condition and particularly the VF/RF is so bright, clear and contrasty that I really don't mind. It made a perfect pair with my favorite lens too:

The only problem is that the frame counter doesnt seem to work, unless I'm doing something wrong. I never thought it would bother me but today I picked up the camera and other than opening the back I had no way of knowing if there was still film in it. Any ideas how to fix it?

Anyway a few first photos with it:

and my daughter realizing she has finally grown tall enough to reach the little light on the kettle :D

I'd call KEH and see if they'll fix it in their shops, or exchange it, or suggest something else. Would be a shame to have to ship it back and forth half-way round the world... The CLE is a delightful little camera. :)

Dear Spyro,

Operate the rewind without freeing the rewind clutch. If it turns freely there's no film in it. If it doesn't...

Nah I'm not sending it back, I'm already too addicted for that.

Roger, thanks :)

The frame counter is reset when the back opens and a bump on the rim of the back releases pressure on a slim button discretely hidden along the light seal track. Often the aging light seal turns into a sticky mass that can clog the slim counter reset button, so too does bits of film and other particles. I would make sure that the reset button is totally free and clear of stuff and see if that works before sending it away.

Your shots are beautiful...just another bit of motivation to keep my CLE's from collecting dust!
