The safari on iPad is mobile safari , it does not support many simple photo applications , with the camera connection kit you can download photos . The only option is to email them .
No posting in ads or on net .
The iPad is designed to be tethered to another computer . It is not a stand alone device ( many of us are using it that way )

There is probably a way to do it .
Call apples tech line - that is the easiest way - they will send you an email with as much information as they can .

They talked me through the options ( limited ) to post photos .
It was a surprise to me that mobile safari can not on it's own do something as simple as post a photo on the net or insert one in an ad .
You need to download an application for these options .
Not a lot available .

The iPad is an I-phone clone - it runs the same search engine as the I phone .
So when you look at applications an iPhone or iPad one will work most times .

The iPad is capable of quite a lot when tethered to a pc or apple computer

If you figure out how to do it , please post the method here ,
My experience with the iPad has been that anything photo related
Is difficult at best .
I had the iPad for 6weeks before I could find the camera connection kit ,
It was in short supply . Really disappointed at how limited the kit is .
So for photography related use , I would not buy the iPad .
Just an opinion .
It excels as a portable get connected device , but fails in it's limited photo use . To be fair apple states that the iPad is not designed for stand alone use .
It needs to be tethered to another computer .
A cutting edge portable device - that needs to be hooked to the mothership
To do photo application . So limited , but useful .

i like it for a portfolio presentation.

and while i have all the photos that are contained in the flickr set already on my macbook, i was hoping not to have to gather them into the same set just for itunes transfer.
lazy me...

There are several apps that let you download images from Flickr to your iPad.

If you want to guess, go ahead.
Or you could open the app-store app on your iPad, and type "flickr" in the searchbox. Works pretty well for me.

@photomoof
Ever tried to dowload a pic. from flickr, the way you discribe ?
It doesn't work, unless you are at the 'all available sizes' page. But there is already a link to download the pictures. And it's a bit difficult to dowload whole sets, like the OP mentioned.

Well i might have.....:-)

Typing on the iPad is a little bit harder, than on a normal keyboard. But i'm getting used to it.

If you don't find the exact app, you might look into a spidering app to scour the specified pages.

Sorry, I meant like a web search engine spider. You give it a url and the linked-to pages (within specified limits) are explored, and contained items downloaded.

Anyhow, glad you found something.

Photo Pad works well.
You can set up which sets on flickr you sync to your iPad.
