The RFF seems so very mature for a 2 year old.

That is right, on July 28, 2003 Jorge finished up his hard work, put the RFF online and registered as the first member. Surely he had no idea of what would come of this venture, but on on July 29 others started to log in. Bill Mattock, Joe, Francisco, Oscar all had joined in the first few days as did I and so many others. Since it takes 2 to forum, I think we can say that July 29 is the day that our community was born.

It has been a great two years. I am sure I have learned more and improved my photography skills more from our conversations here than from any other source I have found.

So, to us, all of us, Cheers and a Very Happy Birthday.

Happy B-Day from me too!!

BTW, what would be really interesting to know: How much money changed hands in those 2 years due to RFF-induced GAS-attacks? Must be millions.. ;)

A happy birthday for RFF and I'll drink a pint (or more) this evening for a good future for RFF and all it's members.

Wild. It seems hard to imagine that I signed up a year ago. Happy birthday to RFF and a hearty "Thank You!" to everyone who participates here. It's been a heck of a lot of fun.

Here's to more good years ahead! *clink*

It's been only a couple of months for me but I feel right at home, thanks to the bunch of friendly RF nutters who call this place home.

Wow! How time flys. Two years old and growing. I must admit when I started this site it was because of my passion for rangefinders. Little did I know it would have such a following. RFF has spawned RFF group clubs around the planet, passed a camera around the planet, given away a complete RF camera kit, has had a book published, has become the best site for rangefinder cameras on the internet, has spawned countless friendships, has been mentioned in magazines, hosts a free photo gallery with cloth to 13,000 images taken mostly with rangefinders and most important of all has the BEST group of members a forum could ask for. Al of this without any advertising on the part of RFF. This says something about our little toys we all love so much and the people who use them. Thanks all for such a great site.

Holy smokes! Have two years gone by already?

Congratulations Jorge and Joe! And thanks to all the members who have contributed vastly to my knowledge of RF cameras and have contributed, perhaps unknowingly, to my added support for the world's economy. I had no idea, prior to hanging out here, there were so many great cameras that needed buying :D

This is one of the nicest places on the web to hang out and surely the best camera related forum I know.

Thanks Jorge and all of you folks for making this a unique place!

Joyeux anniversaire !

Congrats to Jorge and the regulars for creating and nurturing this learned and friendly environment.

I felt really weird in the summer of 1989 when I came back from Moscow, then capital of the USSR, not with cans of caviar, but with a Kiev 88 (with horrible and easily cured light leaks), which I gave away, a Leningrad lightmeter (which I still have, but eats too many batteries), a Lomo LC-A, a Kiev 4a and a bunch of BW 120 rolls with strange ratings (eg 250 GOST).

Now I know I am not the only nut on Earth. Thank you all. ;-)

I wish I had a DSLR and could participate to the success of DSLRexchange.com as well (Oly E10 does not count for one, really... and we are going to part company anyhow)

Happy Anniversary / Birthday!

For all the reasons that have been mentioned, we are all the richer, though our wallets be lighter ;), for being here.

Congratulations and thankyou.

Has anyone else noticed an increase use in RF's after for forming of RFF? Not to mention the price of the Canon P shooting up!

Happy Birthday indeed!

And I'd just like to note - my join date: 07-29-2003. I can see the future, baby. All upside for RFF. To the moon!

Best Regards,

Joe, as a moderator you've been an example. People here don't break the rules NOT for fear of retaliation but for fear of hurting ya.

How do you like it? ;)

Now... gotta check my join date... Or join my date? Sorry, bad pun.
