The subject and the background are all right but the picture has an almost pinkish tint. I think black and white should be black and white.

that might be from the red filter i applied in photoshop - thanks - ill re-edit it w/out the filter
i agree re: the red tint.... if doing other editing in PS you might also consider removing the clock shadow. It immediately grabs my attention and won't let go.
Did you get her number ;)

Agree about the tint, my question is about the scan. It looks like the image is a little soft, I can't really see a point of focus, maybe on her...maybe on the clock. I have a Yashica 124 and had to have the lenses aligned and now it is pretty sharp edge to edge. On this pic the right side and bottom are softer that the left side and top, could just be the angle of the camera though. Nice pic anyway!

it definitely looks better in b/w.. nice depth.. adding the unsharp mask filter really brings out the details.. I think you lost some sharpness in the scanning process

I kinda like the clock shadow behind her...adds some tension.
Good shot, indeed the pink is a bit funky, but hey, it's all up to the photographer.
A little bit of unsharp mask would be okay, in my oppinion.

could you explain further on having the lenses aligned?
