Is there an appropriate place to post manuals for vintage Z-I cameras on this site? Rick Oleson and I have put together a PDF version of the Contax II & III manual from the scans of his 1948 revision. (supplied with the Jena Contaxes?)

I think there would probably be interest in this 3 meg file if there's a place for it and the moderators don't think there are copyright issues.

I think it's a great idea to have a "manuals" section at RFF somewhere!

Well, sure it would be great to have a manuals section Mike, maybe you could contact the moderator (backalley photo) or the admin (Jorge Torralba) as for creating a separate section and/or as for the copyright issues, if any :)

I went thru some of this before at another site and things never really progressed. That was with ancient Nikon manuals but in this case Z-I is a pretty dead company and we are talking about a 55+ years since the cameras were discontinued!

I'd like a copy of the PDF, also. If you have a problem posting it someplace, drop me an email. I use broadband access, so the size isn't an issue. The II/IIa is one of my favorites, and the lenses are among the best, from anyone..

Well Mike if you don't have enough server space I can sure host it. I have a small photography/cameras website and I could add a section with a link for that manual in your name. The file will be in another provider, a bit lousy but it's 100 Mb :)

OTH, you can directly attach PDFs in a post here, but probably not up to 3 Mb, or maybe yes...
