So there's this interesting idea on the NYT Lens Blog: at the same time, on May 2, everyone takes pictures wherever they are. The NYT calls this project "A Timely Global Mosaic, Created by All of Us".
The link to the original post is here: http://lens.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/04/08/about-3/.
We could have a thread and also post submissions on here?

Hm. Invested 5 Minutes in research. Now I know what U.T.C means but I didn't find a source where I can look up what time it is in Germany at 15:00 U.T.C.

They now have a time converter to help people around the world. I was interested to note some of their times were given at 30 and 45 minute times. I don't know what that means. The link they give is http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?month=5&day=2&year=2010&hour=15&min=0&sec=0&p1=0 in chase later readers of this thread find that they changedit.
As for me, I will plan on being in church, so I doubt I will participate.

That is 10 a.m. in Alabama. That is when Sunday school starts. I know: I could shoot photos of people going into or in Sunday school. Hmmmmm ...
1500 UTC would be three o'clock in the afternoon in London. Canberra is 10 hours ahead of UTC, so it will be 1:00am on Monday morning here. I will be in bed, sound asleep. And no, you don't need to see a photo of me in bed.

Ok. Here it will be 17:00. I hope at that time I am not going to suffer from the hangover any longer because saturday night is a big public event in my town :-) So yes, I will take some photos and perhaps I even have an idea if it will fit in one of the categories of the NYT.
it has to be digital though, they do expect you upload it within minutes.

....when you upload to the NYT site. I am not interested in that.
Martin suggested to open a thread here in this forum. Why not?
That's what, 9am in NY? A touch early, but I'll be headed to the annual Dutch Festival for plenty o' shooting on Sunday. It's a ritual. The tulips come out, the Grolsch starts flowing and spring has truly arrived!
Not so early as that, it will be 11 am. I suspect I'll be looking for some hot coco Sunday morning. It is snowing here in Raquette Lake as I'm typing this.:bang:I'm not going anywhere today so, at least, I won't have to shovel off the boat.

Will be 6pm in Estonia. Might actually take a few photos then. Or I might be in sauna.

Double Negative, where is this Dutch Festival? I'm interested in going?
Thanks.

By pure chance I realize that I shot a couple portraits of my son about that time this morning here. (nothing to show yet, film, of course...:))
Good thing I had a new lens to test I guess.
