what about the 28/1.9 (or is it too fast for this thread ;) )

Going over the speed limit will get you a ticket, Todd. ;-p
I just noticed there were a lot of 28mm 1.9 pictures floating around, and I had just picked up the 2.0. I was hoping to see what other had done with it.

I dig those industrial studies! I'd post some more but my Ultron is taking a nap while I'm playing with a borrowed ZM 35mm C Biogon 2.8. :-)

Correct me if I am wrong, I see some barrel distortion in the photo with brick background by sper. For a while, I was contemplating to get this lens but not sure how it can be used with my M2 without 28mm framelines.

There probably is some distortion. It's a CV lens. I borrowed a 28mm Elmarit that displayed a fair amount of distortion in some shots, meh. It's sharp, bright, and beautiful. If I want a perfect photograph I'll get out my 4x5.

Some lovely photos on here - not just the lens, obviously, but it has a look that I prefer to some other VC, it has the It Factor.
If that's barrel distortion on sper's, it's very mild - far better than a few lenses I've owned. It works well with people together with their settings. Great shots, SImon and Pufy...

This lens appears to be terrifically underrated (although it does have its fans).
I think it's a great lens, very sharp and contrasty all the way up to f/2, and the distortion is minimal. Additionally, I've never had any issue with the apparent "focus shift issue" with this lens.
However, I bought the lens to use with my M4-P, which as 28mm lines, but I found myself not using the lens that much because it was a pain to see the lines, and I had a hard time taking in the whole scene.
Anyway, I found a good deal on a Leitz finder (one of the plastic ones), and now I use the lens all the time. The external viewfinder really turns it around for me--I can visualize the scene so much better.
Here are some recents. All new Portra 400.

*I just noticed that these are all interior/incandescent shots. Unintentional.
Tangent: However, I do like the way new Portra 400 handles incandescent light--I was never really big on color correcting it. For some reason, I think night interiors look more 'right' with orange/yellow casts from incandescents.
