View Full Version : E-P1 discontinued--as per B&H
B&H shows the E-P1 as discontinued.
Is this surprising? The EPL-1 should have been released first, followed by the EP-2 as the EP-1. But Panasonic forced Oly's hand. The EP-2 is really the EP-1.2.
Oh no. this means my camera is now useless as a picture making machine and I'll have to rush out and get the latest model!

Nah....now it's a collectors item....
I think it should now sell for around $5000.00 USD.....
seems fair to me....
B&H always lists stuff as discontinued when it isn't. Highly doubt the e-p1 is discontinued.

The consumer cameras change weekly. I don`t even try to keep up.
I am a Leica fan and will use them until film is no longer made. Digi Nikons meet my digital needs for when I get lazy.

It's also missing from the new brochures that we received last week in Finland...
Still showing on the Japanese, US and Australian websites...

Oh, it's also on the Finnish website, but since they printed the new materials without it, tells us that it ain't gonna be there very long...
Well you may be right, though I don't see it as an outdated camera - it's the same camera as an e-p2 without the EVF and still pretty much the same camera as the e-pl1, minus the flash and EVF, but plus better handling and build.
