View Full Version : Is this price a mistake you think?

Seems very cheap, in the UK it's approaching £1700.

I don't think it's a mistake. That's the price I've heard it was going to be in the U.S.

I doubt it! - all cameras are cheaper over there....that's why they all have so many - and can't decide which to take with 'em! :D ;)
Plus, the webpage lists the camera as "not in stock" . . .

It's superficial, but the GF670 looks so much nicer in silver/black than the 667 does in straight black.
Interesting, I'd ruled out getting one on price grounds, but maybe if I get to the US at some point, I'll have to reconsider. UK camera shops would sell more of these I think if they were even a little bit price competitive. The Classic Camera has the Voigtlander version for £1889.00, I could quite literally fly over to the USA, pick one up, and save a little money.

I don't know if the price will make a lot of difference in sales. There just isn't a huge market for a $1,900 MF folder.
I agree ... very nice in silver and that price is almost reasonable!
it was listed as 2000 Euros on the official site, so it is about that price.

I thought the Fuji was for the Japanese market only. Is that a grey import? Or is Fuji dumping unsold stock abroad?

I guess tastes vary. I find the all black 667 much nicer than the silver/black GF670. The silver just looks a bit artificial IMO. Also, I find the branding on the Bessa a bit more subtle.
I prefer the Fujifilm, not fussy about black or silver though.

That price is way lower than Stephen's current. I know the yen has dropped but OMG. B2 (;->

It's about 15% cheaper. I'm sure once the camera is actually available Stephen and the other stores selling the Bessa will decide whether or not it makes sense for them to lower their prices.
