View Full Version : Yashicamat 124
Hello Fellow Yashinon's
I am going to make a few wedding snaps with my Yashicamat 124, on Fuji NPS 160 speed film tomorrow. How big of enlargements (prints) can I make and still retain decent quality, with this format size and film?
Thanks
Russ

You can easily get 16x20 or 20x24 size prints from a 120 size negtaive. They will be almost grain free, with good film.

Hi Russ. That's a good combination. Unless you examine it with a loupe, you can go to very big enlargements (viewing distance will be bigger).

Hi Russ
Depends a bit of the distance at which it will be watched later (large room ?). I would consider 16X20 to be the upper limit for a normal environment.
Performance depends a bit also of the stop you use,
to me f11 seems to work best for sharpness from edge to edge, with the 3.5 Yashinon. Just my personal perception. Maybe you have your own experiences about how stopping down this lens best.
Good luck !
