Package from the Ukraine!! My Fed is here!!!!! :p

I can't believe how excited I was, I felt like a kid at Christmas! The camera is in great condition - touched up a few chips in the black paint, re-glued the covering edges and general clean-up. The glass looks really good, shutter curtain is intact and working, shutter speeds seem to be in order, I think I'm good to go!

Only problem is I have an early meeting today so I won't be able to run any film throught it yet. :bang:

Nice FED 3. Hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy mine. Check out my gallery for recent photos from mine.

Thanks Brian! I'm looking forward to using her! I do have a few questions for all you Fed 3 users out there -

How does the GOST dial work? (I know it's for film speed, but does it actually set anything?
How fast of a flim have you run through your Fed?

Hi Mike,
Quick answers are: the GOST dial is a reminder only and does nothing. Fastest film thru my Feds so far is ASA 400 Fuji. Seems to work nicely for me.

Thanks fro the info Curt. I was just over at Karen Nakamura's site http://photoethnography.com/ClassicCameras/index-frameset.html?Fed3.html~mainFrame
and she says the same thing in her write-up of the Fed 3.

Glad to hear that Fuji 400 works for you, I'm begining to like Fuji!
