I felt driven to write this note as I am so pleased with my new Kiev 5
I have wanted one for a long time and eventually obtained one
I was very concerned as to whether it would work after reading many comments over the last few years
Well it was described as mint - and it almost is
It was described as everthing works - and it does
It is just such an attractive camera. It feels just right.
I have only used the wind on knob not the lever
It winds easily and the shutter is very smooth
It is a great shame that the manufacturing standards of the majority produced were so poor - I should have thought it would have been a big success
There again I like jazz, so what do I know
Just hope I am not tempting fate by writing the above !

Enjoy your K5 liking a camera because it feels right is at least halfway towards helping you to take good photos.
P.S. I take it you are a tram fan? Duwag Duwag!!

Yes I do like trams - and Trolleybuses
Favourite trams are of course Russian

I'll show my age by saying that I travelled a lot on the Leningrad ones in the early 60's, some of them were huge things more like railway carriages!!! That's when I bought my Fed2 and Orion 15 lens, which I still have!!
