Summarit with haze. Part2

If there's any affect from the lens haze I can't pick it. I did shoot one into the sun - with the expected results. I think there's some extra flare from the old glass in that shot, but overall I'm very pleased with this lens.

It really stands out for the usual 50mm stuff: portraits. Will post some in the gallery soon (won an ebay bid for some extra hours in the day - should be here soon).

I think flare will affect only part of the photo; part of it will look overexposed. This photo on the other hand looks overall very soft to me, even at this size. Can this excessive overall softness caused by haze?

Did you scan from the negative or print?

These were scanned from unmounted slide strips.

It does look soft, but I think that's because most of the subject is not focused well. The foreground bush is sharp, although it also has a softness to it.

The 50mm takes a while to get used to, after using nothing but 35mm. I'm really enjoying the learning experience.

I didn't have time to look at these properly last night. Don't tell anybody, but I do my posting during the day at work.
