Getting getting ready to purchase a set of spanner wrenches to open up the lens of my Canonet 19. Any recommendations on where to buy from (I'm thinking Micro-Tools) and what set I should get?

I have the wrench that's adjustable for width (span) and uses the interchangeable blades. I have four sets of different blades. It's not a cheap set but it should last a lifetime if I don't lose them. :)

However, there are some lenses with deep-set collars that don't have the room for the shafts of my spanner wrench to pass. That's when I wish I had the spanners with long slender prongs or long thin blades which aren't offered.

File your own tips from an old hacksaw blade or any other piece of steel the appropriate thickness.

Hi,
I find that the best tool is a pair of needle point pliers with the tips ground down. They are much easier to use than spanner wrenches and also a lot cheaper. I know many others including pros tend to use these rather than even the expensive wrenches.
