I am going to photo the 4th of July fireworks at the high school 4 blocks from my house. I am leaving the Bessa R at home. I thought I knew which camera I was taking until this morning. That was until I fondled each of them after coffee. Now I'm in a quandry.
Which camera should go with me? The Russian? The American? Or, the Japanese?
Help me decide. :)

The obvious answer is the American camera on the Fourth :D

If that's an Industar on the Fed, that would be what I'd use. Nothing like a Tessar in that kind of circumstance. The Argus could be fun, but I don't remember if it can take a cable release or not. You'll want one and a tripod for fireworks.

LOL, my wife would tell you that I never do or think the obvious. But you know what? I thought so this morning. The Argus has a killer lens. It is very rugged. If the tripod gets knocked over and onto the grass, it is the camera I would be the least worried about.
That is why the Bessa isn't going.

The FED 3 is wearing the Jupiter 8. But I could put the Industar 61 on.

Only problem with Argus, though, is people might think you're shooting at them. After hearing you fire that thing the other day at Balboa Park, I have to agree that it really does sound like a .38 being let off. :D
Does the FED allow a cable release? If so, I'd go with it. The Canonet has a sharp lens, but not nearly as sharp as an Industar.

Hi- Yep, the C-44 is loud. But, the 4th can be rowdy. So I'm not too worried about startling the locals.
All three cameras have a bulb setting with a cable release.
I may end up taking two cameras.

Why the Canon, of course!

Oh duh, the Argus doesn't have an advance lever. It has a wind knob. Looks like the Russian goes out tonight.
