View Full Version : aaargh! my order was canceled!
Adorama just sent me an e-mail canceling my Rapid Omega 200 order. They said they found a problem with it. I knew it was too good to be true at $159. Man, I was so looking forward to shooting MF next weekend. I have my heart set on this camera, but after three times getting denied (twice on the bay), maybe it's not meant to be.

Sorry about your loss.
If you don't already have an investment in that line, consider some of the other 6x7 camera systems.
sorry for the hysteria -- bad morning already. I somehow exposed a roll to light while processing at home, which has been more miss than hit in this heat.
The e-mail from adorama just said it my order was canceled, but when I talked to customer service, they were pretty cool about getting the camera and explaining to me what was wrong with it. Shutter blades sticking a little, and they're already at the engineers getting fixed, and the glass on the rangefinder broke, maybe in the warehouse he said, and I should expect to hear from them in a couple days about whether it can ship like the ad said or I can opt for as-is at a discount.
I hope it's just a matter of waiting a little longer. I was really looking forward to using it this weekend, but maybe my girlfriend and I will just get more practice unspooling 120 film onto 620 spools, for our new project with a Brownie Hawkeye. MF, however we can get it.
apologies,
Mr. Spazz
