Here's a link to a grant writing class by a bloke who knows how to get them. I will be in attendance if anyone wants to fetch a ride, beer, lunch or whatever.

i suppose the hunger is a bit of a curse but i suppose i must remain on course and positive.

for a bit of counter point it has been a good year for me grant wise. i have remained in a position of being able to work. that's good.

well i might as well brush up on the skills for next year. there are a couple of big guns (grants) i have my eyes on and i will need all the help i can get.

i also find these programs a great place to network and networking has proven very lucrative for me.

(by lucrative i mean they haven't repo'd the car yet and the mortgage is paid for another month)

Don is a good friend of mine and a great resource. He also does a documentary photography workshop a few times a year where he helps you edit down a project. I haven't had a chance to do it yet.

I feel terrible for having him photograph my wedding before he found success, it would probably be way beneath him now. I'm glad I did, though for obvious reasons. It's not every day that you can get a future VII Network photographer to do your wedding.

I do not think you have anything to learn from this guy Donald. Your portfolio looks much more professional than his. Networking - is another thing tho... Good luck!

well you always need to learn. i'm certainly not learning how to photograph as he does his thing and i do mine BUT the man is driven and VERY successful at securing the funds he needs to do the work. that bit of knowledge i will gladly soak up. thank you though for the compliment?

for the record i am a big fan of his photographic work.

capitalK - i would LOVE to see some of those wedding photos!
