I love that lens... I'll scan a few images I've taken with it and post. The last image with the wispy beard is magical.
Back in 2003/2004 when I was living in Beijing, a Bessa T with the 28mm Skopar was my carry all the time kit. The office was in Wangfujing Mall, right in the centre of the city, and shots like the middle one were just the result of regularly burning a roll at lunch time in the mall :D

WOW :eek::eek::eek:
I like the 28mm view on my RD1, so much so my 40mm Rokkor now doesn't see much action and will probably be going out the door soon. My current 28 is the CV Ultron but I'm looking to get hold of one these tiny lenses to use as a more compact choice. Nice shots here btw guys.

The little 28f3,5 is one of my favorite lenses. This is from Havana in 2002. Somehow this lens gives one of the best bl/w renditions of any lens that i have. This is the Malecon, the walk along the sea. The kid's were just having a grand time and the risk of falling into the luke warm tropical sea was not considered a deterent! TriX/D76 etc.

As you can see, the great things about this lens are: no flare, no distortion, very sharp. What more do you want? (Yeah, yeah, I know... you want f2!).
I bought mine out of anger when my Summicron 28mm f2.0 developed internal flare due to coating defects and spent a year in Solms getting repaired. That lens is back now and works perfectly, but I can't bring myself to sell the Voigtlander. It isn't as sharp edge to edge, but it is plenty good enough & has one key quality that I like - it's small!

All the wide angle shots I posted in this thread (http://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=77432) were taken with the S-mount Skopar 28/3.5 (same optical formula as the LTM version).
I like this lens so much that I have one in S-mount and LTM!

Juan -- Thank you! Another thing that's neat about this lens is that, while it's sharp and contrasty, it can also capture details in highlights and shadow. I just developed this one over the weekend, taken on a sunny day in August:

Erik - any reason why the chrome one isn't? A black and chrome one was listed here recently, I debated on which one to get, ended up with the chrome one to give my just bought Leitz-Minolta CL a blck/chrome vintage look
I bought and rcvd a chrome one from fellow RFF member here via classifieds. Soon as daylight breaks, I'll load up my just arrived Leitz-Minolta CL with either XP2 or Tri-X and take some shots.
It's my first LTM/M mount lens! I kinda wanted to get the 40mm Summi but couldn't wait for one to become available (or be affordable)
All the wide angle shots I posted in this thread (http://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=77432) were taken with the S-mount Skopar 28/3.5 (same optical formula as the LTM version).

I know what you mean, I have 2 LTM (1 black/1 chrome) and the S-mount one!!!!

I've posted these before, but they show different aspects of this lens:

After watching this thread for too long... and adding a silver Bessa R to my collection... I just bought a silver version from another RFF member... should be in my hands in the morning.
Update - I received the 28/3.5 thin morning... what a jewel of a lens... build quality is outstanding... while being so compact and unobtrusive... already on the camera and a roll of film waiting to be developed... will post some scans of prints soon.

It takes a 39mm filter, which is more or less a Leica standard size. It tucks right into the mini lens hood, too:
