I did it again,
and I love it.
Rodinal is great

Looks really good. I use APX 100 (and 400) a lot and will continue to do so for some time. Lately I've souped them both in D-76 but I guess for APX 100 I could retry Rodinal. Martin are you using Rodinal 1+25 or 1+50?

sorry I've forgotten that to say,
I use Rodinal in 1+50,
APX 100 needs 17 min at 20C°,
the first 10 min I agitate every minute,
the rest of the dev. time no agitation

What a great results ! The best B&W contrasts you can get.
I have enough Rodinal, but since I use D76 lately it stays on the shelf.
Maybe now it's time again to buy that cheap Rollei Retro 100 with Rodinal.

Q: is Rollei Retro equal to APX100 ?

Supposed to be. There has been a discussion over on the LUF about it.

Very, very nice. I especially like the 2nd one. I would have thought 17 minutes was too long at 1:50, but hey, these shots speak for themselves.

Great shots, but where did you get 17 minutes from? My charts all say 10 or 13 minutes. The agitation/stand combo sounds like your own calculation. If so, it works well!

Very nice Martin ! # 2 is my favorite, too !!

About dev times, I develop APX400 in Rodinal 1:50 and times are 12 minutes. Isn't 17 minutes a little bit long ?

I'm struck by image two: I've not acheived such midtones with APX100 in Rodinal. In simalar images -- of mostly midtones -- my tonality has been disasterous. I've always used 13min at 20C with regular agitation. I'll have to try your developing time and agitation.

For APX100 / Rollei Retro 100 and Rodinal I use 17 minutes as well, works for me.

Rollei Retro 100 is indeed rebranded APX100. I buy it in bulk rolls and the bulk film is marked as "APX 100" on the margin.

D-76 is not that bad with Rollei Retro 100 / APX100 either. I've been using D-76 stock in 24C (75F) for 6min 30sec.

Wonderful shots from both Martin & Mablo. Agfapan is a terrific film!
