I've been on the prowl for a decent multicoated Zuiko 35/2 for my little Oly kit for a few years now, but the prices were always more than I cared to spend for a lens that I planned on having CLAed.
Finally!

$152 shipped and the cosmetics look good - hopefully it will look as good in real life and the dust mentioned isn't actually something bad like fungus. I think it's a late first version. Does anyone know the proper solid hood for this one?
I do need to get my OM2n off to Doctor John for a CLA - I had my OM1n done earlier in the year. This gives me an OM1n, an OM2n (both black), a 24/2.8, 35/2, 50/1.8 and 135/3.5. The second new lens I'm considering is an 85/2. Maybe I can find a good deal on one of these, too!

No 21/2? I thought that lens was the whole point of getting an Olympus :p

I sold mine this last spring after getting a Distagon 2.8/21mm (Contax).
Big mistake :( I miss the tiny little jewel 2/21. Now with the M4/3 cameras it has another life as a perfect fast normal prime. Although it is tiny for a reflex lens, maybe still quite large on an m4/3 camera +adapter.
Wicked sharp the Zeiss is just Zeissier with better micro-contrast and color on the 5D but, a huge lens for this FL especially next to the Zuiko.

The 21mm f2 is one of the sharpest 21mm ever made, it's really suprising. Great little lens. Have fun with your new 35mm!

I bought the same lens from that seller. They are highly reliable.

There are two lenses, a Zuiko 85 f2 and 90 f2, on the UK eBay site at the moment. Last time I looked they were £200 and £300 respectively. I've no idea whether those are good prices or not as I've only just got into using OM's.
I've got one OM2-SP and OM4T with the 50mm 1.8 'mij' and 35mm 2.8. It's a great system and some of the lenses are superb. I also have to admit that the ability to compose precisely through the lens is something I really enjoy using.

I'm very happy to get the 35mm since I'm really not a 50mm user - I was using the admittedly great 50/1.8 only because the 24mm was too much for a walkabout some days! 35mm works much better for me as a normal.

Yeah, it pretty much is.
Zuiko 21mm/f2 mmmmmmm.... [does impression of Homer dreaming of a donut]. Still looking - still dreaming.

I just sold a 35/2 over on Fred Miranda for $150 :)
Anyway, nice little lens. I didn't care for it's wide open performance, but f/2.8 on down it was great. Small sharp and light! Oh, and I used it on my 5D with an adapter.
I'd love a 21/2...or a 21/3.5!

I actually like lenses that are a little soft wide open but sharpen up one stop down - they give you a little versatility in rendering. Maybe it's because that's what I'm used to - I have only a few lenses that I would call exceptionally sharp wide open, my 35 Cron ASPH foremost among them.

Good, the more of you who didn't care about this excellent lens (the 35/2, not the 21/2), the cheaper it would be for people like me who loves it :D
