And the winner is?

they're all winners. :) each lens has it's own distinct quality which excels at diffferent things..the bad bad bad, super soft summarit should do pretty well for b/w potraits and the lux is an all rounder..i did the test mainly for myself, to compare the different qualities of each lens and tot, by sharing the results, it might be helpful for whoever who's thinking abt which lens to get.

that being said, i conclude that i don't like the 2 90mm for anything on the m8..it's too big and too tight a crop. ~maybe for flowers but that's not why i use rangefinders..

This why I'll never have any money!
I chose what turned out to be the 'Lux before seeing the answers.

Very interesting, Adrian. I would like to go out and get myself the 35mm f/1.2.

The M8 is great for this kind of tests.

oh yes, the 35 1.2 is a really nice lens. :)

my reactions when i first processed the photos:
1: ~wooooaaah..lots of impact, crazy bokeh, lots of character, a lil dreamy. good for funky street still life..
2: pleasing, very neutral and pleasing..will be a nice b/w lens
3: sharp but very very crontrasty! good for overcast days..
4: very 3D, not as sharp but very contrasty..pretty good all rounder for colour.
