Which M lenses cannot be used on the Bessa T ?

I tried today to mount a 35mm 1.4 Summilux on my Bessa T, but after three very careful attempts to feel out the lens mount seems to fit on the Hexar, I decided not to do it since something does not seem to fit. I then tried other M mount lenses, and they all mounted smoothly on the Bessa T. The Lux then mounted easily on a Hexar RF camera.

What is going on here?

Is it the lens? Is it the camera? Is it is mis-match?

My 90 Summicron doesn't get locked on any of my Ts. But it does on my R4M. On the Ts the fit is precise and it never moves back "to the body dot", and I use it all day... So there must be a difference between both T & R4M mounts... Or not. Roger Hicks said that the pins tolerances, etc, sometimes behave unexpectedly, and that he has one of his lenses not being locked on one of his bodies too...

But your case, if I understand correctly, is that there's something a bit tight, and so you fear twisting the lens with more than the usual strength...

All this is really strange, even if we ever find the reasons.

Before I got my 35/1.4 pre-asph lux, there was a thread that some might need some kind of grinding of a "shroud" to fit the M8. My used lux turned out mount fine on my M8, RD1, and M6, and I only have read that one instance somewhere of shroud grinding needed. Do you have a v2 > 230...ish sample?

Other lenses that probably won't work on the bessa well might be the J12, SA, early Elmarit 28s, a lot of collapsibles, and probably others. Does it mount on your other M-bodies?

The lens does not sit right in the T. I cannot even place the lens in the right place there.

Where in Stephen's write-up did he warn about the Lux?

I see it now.
Stephen states: "Leica Summilux 35mm F1.4" cannot be used on the Bessa T.

The aspherical Lux is OK though.

This is a great portrait... Light is soft enough, but the whole frame is full of rich contrast... Her face in shadow is clear, even her right eye. The focus on the left eyelids is so precise... And the best: she looks in an intimate moment, she's not worried, not tired, not posing at all, just thinking in calm and being herself... And the background is so very smooth... And very balanced to in tones and geometry too. I bet this one must look great on paper with rich deep blacks and a good size... But there's a problem... your other girl will want one of hers just like that!
