If anyone cares, sammys on fairfax has an M9 you can handle. I played with it for a while and while Im bummed the resale of my M8 just fell through the floor Im also quite sure the M9 does not make pictures that are realistically $6k better than what you can get on the open market for a grand. Its a shame the camera is priced so high, definitely priced it for the fetishists out there. bummer.

That M8 still takes the incredible photos it took yesterday.

The M8 stinks.
Always has, always will.

I am really sorry but I do agree. Almost all the sample photos that appeared on the net so far are soft and don’t look better than some cheap digital SRL. I was looking forward to sell all my Canon gear (5DMkII with 6 L lenses) to finance M9 with some new lenses, but after seeing M9 samples I am sure that only Leica die-hard fans will keep on telling us “The Emperor's New Clothes” fairy tale.

Usually stinks in the hands of those who who don't wash their hands :bang:

I am using my M8 for a feature I'm shooting and it is awesome as I don't 'need' ISO 1250+

Well no one has told me my pictures stink and I enjoy the camera, so what really stinks? ....Maybe....your attitude?

Well you own an M8 and it's price was the same as the M9, so I'm not sure really what you're talking about. Is it a better camera? I think so, and at the same price and only $1000 more than the current price of the M8.2.

The only thing to complain about is that you can't afford one....well, me too ;)

I'm confused. I just don't believe the M9 is a POS.

The M8.2 is getting close to 50% of the price of the M9. Not a bargain, 'cause it's still alot of money, but a damn attractive price for a great camera!

not new, you're comparing a used previous model to a new, which the % is similar for almost all diggi cameras, including the 5D and mark II everyone likes to compare to.
