OK, its a slow Sunday afternoon.

Time to liven things up.

Why is the new Voigtlander Bessa III 667's Rangefinder / Viewfinder arguably the most advanced NOW in production? --- More advanced than any other current Voigtlander, Zeiss, or Leica rangefinder?

First person to post the correct answer gets a free Voigtlander Deluxe Camera strap, their choice of 3 rear Voigtlander lens caps for Nikon rangefinder lenses OR 3 rear lens caps for Leica M lenses AND their choice of an official Tom Abrahamsson MiniSoft Release OR Classic Release.

Because it has to switch between formats with alternate framelines, 6x6 and 6x7, no other viewfinder/rangefinder is equipped with this function?

Automatic paralax compensation.

Parallax compensation is done by moving the two sides of the frame, resulting in the area of the frame varying by focusing.

oops, aizan already said field correction. My bad.

field-size correction?

No current Leica, Zeiss, or for that matter other Voigtlander rangefinder has field size correction -- ie the frame size increases or decreases to correspond to the focused distance.

This is actually a very big deal. I can't help but wonder if Voigtlander will find a way to put this feature into other rangefinders.

PM me your address and let me know your choice of lens caps.

Sorry, Mamiya replied, "too complicated." Good work, Cosina.
