Back in the late 1960s, Konica made a fixed-lens 35mm crf model called the Auto S2. It had a bright-line frame finder which not only had parallax correction but also varied the frame coverage area as you focused - maybe when Leica Camera gets round to the M10 they'll provide something simliar. If their new S2 doesn't finally bankrupt them ...

Just imagine how complicated it would be to make 6 sets of framelines adjust in size, while each focal length coverage changes by a different amount (think different extension when focussing).

If only they put in the M10 frames with the same precision as those of the M2 I'd be very happy.

Not exactly. Konicas had fixed lower + left lines and moving upper + right lines, thereby providing some correction for decrease in field of view. If you want true correction for both parallax and field of view you need a MUCH bigger and mechanically more complicated finder than you can fit into 35mm (e.g. Linhof).

Ah! I had forgotten that - but it was still a good effort on Konica's part. Although after all these years I'm not sure how well it actually worked.
