yep, and it was 10% a few days ago and now up again. if it goes back to 25% or 30% like it was 6 months back or whatever, I might go crazy.

also new now, they send you the cashback immediately, like within minutes of your paypal purchase, rather than 60 days later.

Will this work for us Canucks if we use a proxy server to do the buying/searching?

They only give you 12 cash back buys on ebay per account. Then its over for you. Me too, I did save some money.

It seems kind of random for me, sometimes instant, but generally requiring 60 days. I just kind of forget about it and then I get an e-mail saying I've got money out of the blue. That's almost nicer, in a way :p

I saw it when the site was called "Live" and saved $200 on a $900 Leica M4. Was I happy? Oh yeah. Would I complain about how often they did it or the %age? Hey! It was a great deal. They didn't HAVE to do it, right? Turning down free money? Why would I do that. It's like Sarah Palin turning down stimulus money (which legislature just overturned). Makes no sense to me. :D

I think the limit was 12/yr but now I think it's 20.

I'd love to take money off of Microsoft. Too bad I live in a small country where nobody wants to make incredibly expensive marketing stunts like this.

So why not take the money from these maroons? It's not like you have to install any MS products on your machine (I admit to still using Excel).

It's called 'gaming the system'. In this context, I see nothing wrong with it. They made the rules, we just exploit them for our own uses, without breaking those rules.

For no reasons I am aware of, my cashback account has been closed. I contacted customer service, and they wrote me that since I have "violated Mixrosoft agreements", my account has been closed and any saved money is confiscated. I asked twice how I have violated the agreement, but I am getting no response to my inquiry. My cash is gone.

Took your cash? I don't get it. They sucked it out of your paypal account? How can they get it back once you have it? Seems like you're being cheated, and seems they should have to at least tell you how you violated their terms.

It still was with cashback and I had not yet transferred it to paypal.
I have tonight contacted them again about it,and they have promised to look into my inquiry.

It was only a small amount of cash, but I want to know what I could have done to "violate Microsoft agreements". In fact, I am not allowed to take part in any promotions by Microsoft. I must have done some horrible acts of "violations" to be punished like this.

Either you are not running Vista or you are not using IE.
Such an evil creature you are...

People running Linux and using firefox like me would never entitle any promotion from Microsoft

Ha ha that is hilarious! It would be amazing if there's some fine print that stating something to that effect...
