Leitz filter purse...is this rare.

Hi, Recently I picked up some gear at a local Camera swap meet and amongst the lot was the following item. Could find nothing in Laney's book about a "filter purse". Looks like it will hold a 48mm filter. It is not marked on the outside but has a purple-inked”Leitz” mark stamped inside. With my 5-x magnifier, I can also see the engraving of the head of a dog or lion on both hinges on the purse. Neat item. Any info would be gratefully accepted. Cheers Peter

It might also hold a 35/3.5 Elmar. Yes, they really made little purse cases for the lenses. I've seen one with a "fat" Elmar 90/4 that was a perfect fit. Very nice.
