Bill, it's a beauty but beyond my financial reach. If anyone on RFF buys one, I'd love to hear about it.

Lets hope that their offer of that "special commemorative paperweight" at the bottom of the page isn't a bad omen! ;)

There's the email in mine, but shy of a lotto win, I doubt Billy's going to have a ZI anytime soon. But it is beautiful...

Yeah, same here. I could sell ALL my rangefinders and not be able to afford this one. Oh well, she's a beaut!

OOOOh Crystal Brick....Just what I have allways wanted!
Why couldn't it be something useful to a photographer..
Mini light meter....even a small flash......or a Tabletop tripod......

Maybe they're going for the Leica collector crowd, Mike. ;) They probably have lots of little Leica paperweights all over the place LOL.

B&H lists the body at $1,617. I could sell my Contax IIIa and my 35, 50, 85, and 135 lenses. better throw in the Mamiya 645, too. That should jus about cover the body and the 50mm planar. Or I could buy a Conax 645 for similar money.

I wonder, is there a price list with lens prices somewhere?

That is a good price for this limited run camera! You have to wonder how Leica will move M7's amd MP's at twice the price.

If only this camera were digital. Then in two years it would drop to 1/3 the price...

I got a separate email announcing the lenses. It looks like they are finally here.

True Joe, both in appearance and design. Probably they looked at the right place when looking for inspiration :)

I received an e-mail from ZeissIkon news that listed prices. f 2.8 27mm, $1,152; f 2.8 28mm, $1,042; f2 135mm $1,042, and f2 50mm, $824. But the lens shade is only $127.
