Some blatant self-promotion here...

The city of Zürich, Switzerland has been my home for the last seven years. During this time I've come to appreciate its many charms and overlook the minor irritations. A major part of Zürich's livability is the proximity of water with the Lake of Zürich and the two rivers, the Sihl and the Limmat, which flow through central Zürich providing green-lung and recreational areas.
My intention with this series of pictures is to present my personal perspective of how the people of Zürich live with and relate to the rivers - especially the mundane everyday details we overlook, as well as the traces we leave behind as we work, play, love, rejoice and grieve.
The pictures for this book were shot over five spring mornings in May/June 2009, using the square 6x6 film format with Rolleicord Vb twin-lens-reflex and Mamiya 6 rangefinder cameras.
