Here are my first shots with this baby. The film was ektar 100.

I was amazed by the results! The colors are just little bit saturated in GIMP because scanning was bad...but without tweaking even superp...I liked the bokeh it gives and it can be really sharp just like its brother summicron when step down to 4-5.8

Enjoy!

Very nice ... as I said previously, I was tracking that auction, and am glad one of us snagged it!

Great images from that Summitar. You definitely got a good one.

I had Sherry clean and adjust both an Elmar 50/2.8 and a Summitar 50/2.0. Well the Elmar blows my Summitar out of the water. I have not tried them wide open but I like the Elmar better. My IIIf Leica is right on and quiet in contrast to my Tower/Nicca 48. But, the Tower has a lever wind arm and it is faster to get another shot.

I will have to say the Leica IIIf is one of my favorite cameras.

Thanks to Youixin he did a great job.

Though I realized that the focus is little of at infinity in some shots. It might be that I didnt lock the focus ring at infinity when shooting. Shall I lock it to focus at infinity with summitar?
