New owner - Shutter Actuations?

Hi All,

Just took the plunge and bought myself an M8 and have just embarked on the learning curve.

Probably a silly question, but how do I find out how many actuations the shutter has done?

Oh, and any other top tips would be appreciated too. :)

You need to read the EXIF info and look for the "Image Unique ID". Adobe Photoshop Bridge CS3 shows you the full EXIF and if you don't have that, you can use the following firefox plugin.

Here is what mine says:



Image Unique ID = 000000000000000000000000000014C7

Hexadecimal (http://www.statman.info/conversions/hexadecimal.html) translates to 5319
