View Full Version : Recent shots (mostly night) with my 50/1.2 M-Hexanon & Hexar Rf Limited
The image quality of these shots speak for themselves. Sometimes f/1.2 really comes in handy and this lens delivers the goods. The various beach shots were all between f/1.2-2. The first (f/1.2) is full frame and the second is just cropped for detail. Note the cat by the fencing in the bottom shot, something I missed until just after the shot was taken. All shots talen with Velvia 100 rated at E.I. 125.
Two more. The first probably shot f/1.7-2. The sharpness of the reeds is incredible and can't realy be appreciated here. The birch trees shot at about f/2.8-3.4.
Just got my limited set a few weeks back, I've only processed one film M6 /50mm f1.2 but non from the camera as yet. More than happy with the resilts, but not suer how I'll go focusing the 1.2 with low powered Hexar finder.
Focusing accuracy with my Hexar RF is no problem even at f/1.2. The first shot on the beach was wide open and the lighting was pretty dim on the couple, yet the image came out tack sharp. The slide actually shows a little more detail than the scanned image. Remember that the actual base length of the Hexar RF is the same as the M6 but the finder's 0.6x mag. reduces the effective base length. A Leica eyepiece magnifier can be easily attached to the camera with a Megaperls (now Japan Exposures) adapter.
