Not my auction, but this seems awfully cheap to me.

interesting. Thanks
I would say this is the normal price for this lens. not a popular lens.

That's exactly the price it sold for at Matsuiyastore the last time it came up.

The last Matsuiyastore one was in this price range but if I recall, didn't include the accessory viewfinder.

Sorry, I thought these were usually around 300 more! Dante Stella just published a nice short review, thought you guys would be interested...
You are correct, the last 1 sold by Matsuiyatore on eBay lacked the finder, so the price on this 1 in AL is actually pretty good compared to recent sales (@ least here in the U.S.).
There was a mini-bump in prices of the Dual Hexanon when the M8 came out & after Leica discontinued the Tri-Elmar, but prices seem to have settled down (just like on everything else, I suppose).

It was never a popular lens. I almost bought one after consulting Dante and TomA but decided to go with primes instead later on. The size is the main issue. Performance-wise, it is good enough for most people. The viewfinder is very nice even comparing to CV branded.
Thanks for posting. I was actually a little tempted. :D
With the vf they usually go for ~$1,600.

Love mine ok the RD1. Have not tried on M8 or with film yet . Killer build quality and performance is excellent on the rd1. I paid half this amount but for the lens and hood only. Post a sample later. Perfect for street festivals and the like on a cropped sensor.
surely worth $1400.
