Neopan 400 dev'd in Diafine.

I'm guessing reticulation, since my temp control was screwed up: I had a jug of untempered tapwater sitting to rinse stuff off with - wasn't supposed to go anywhere near the film - guess what I grabbed by mistake when it came to wash? Can't remember if it was hot or cold, but either way at least 10 deg C away from the temp of my solutions :-/

Thanks in advance for your thoughts...

i believe you are right.
i have not experienced reticulation myself but from reading, i would guess that's what happened.

Thanks. It seems logical to me - but like you I've never seen it first hand, so I'm checking this out beofre I start looking for an alternative cause...

Yup. Classic reticulation. I'm amazed you got it so (relatively) easily, though -- it must have been REALLY cold tap-water. Either that or Diafine tenderizes the emulsion to an unusual degree.

Our tap water is either spectacularly cold or spectacularly hot, depending on which tap you turn :D I might actually go and stick a thermometer under it later just to see...

Thanks for the confirmation - it was my first roll in Diafine, so an effect I hadn't seen before threw me a little. I'll do a few more later this week, hopefully get on better.

Appreciate the help.
